Thomas Cole's The Course of Empire
This paper requires synthesizing ideas from multiple assigned texts as well as outside research, i.e., identifying and incorporating additional texts. These texts will encompass primary, secondary, and tertiary sources.
Tertiary sources summarize or synthesize the research in secondary sources. For example, textbooks and reference books such as encyclopedias, handbooks, and dictionaries are tertiary sources.
